Draw something from the internet was the challenge today, these wooden coasters with constellations painted on them caught my eye.
I got a box of art goodies from Dick Blick yesterday, which included a set of 36 Derwent Ink Tense Pencils, I love how vibrant the colors are that these pencils produce much brighter than regular watercolor pencils (in my opinion of course). I'm quite pleased with how they did on this toned paper, and I like that very little water is needed to activate the color. Below are the colors swatches I did on a wire bound Strathmore Visual Journal with 140 lbs watercolor paper… so more fun with color for me. I also got some Koi paint brush markers, and will be doing color charts on them soon.
