It was hard to watch the reading of the names this morning... listening to the wives and children especially still has the power to bring me to tears. Such a waste, a horrible waste. God bless them all.

  1. This and December 7th-- my eyes overflow, my heart wrenches, and I always know that is nothing compared to those who died and those whose family and friends died.

  2. A friend of mine's cousin, was a survivor... but he survived because he overslept and missed his train to work. He is the closet to me actually knowing someone effected and yet it breaks my heart to listen to the names, to hear their wives and especially the children who still miss their Daddy... I remember the silence in the sky... I live close to the airport and air force base here in Charleston... at first it was skooky with NO AIRPLANES... when the Air Force f-18s started flying ... it made me so proud of those young men, and so grateful that they were there to protect our country. Pearl Harbor day profoundly effected my Mom and Dad and my father made sure his children remembered every December 7th...I assume September 11th will be passed on to the younger generation thru the images on tv like they were showing today.
