I'm not sure I like this journal's format... but it's such a beautiful book I'll press on. Spent last evening painting color swatches... I can't decide what colors to use on the horse.

I know what you mean about a journal format not working once you get in to it. I've done that before... bought a sketchbook thinking, "This is the one!" only to feel disenchanted with the format or paper quality (etc) later on. From your audience's perspective, however, it looks really nice. Perhaps fill the page with a color on a particular day rather than leave white the dominant background? There are endless possibilities...
