The shapes on this one were easy wedges... big swipes of color with a big flat brush with detail added after the initial wash dried. This painting is one of the exercises in a WetCanvas online class I'm taking.
Once you pointed out the wedges, I could see them and admire the technique. I would never have thought of it myself, though. I really like the way the fields draw your eye into the painting.
I love these lavender fields. I often thought of online classes but have never done it.
