Lessons I learned today.... Starting my negative painting.
1. Squirrel Mop brushes do NOT drip on their own no matter how much paint and water you add...
2. Tapping a Mop brush to MAKE it drip, gets a tiny drip ARGH
3. Slinging the mop brush at the paper gives you LOTS of tiny splats... totally unacceptable for the lesson we're doing but interesting looking (pictures when it dries).
4. A much SMALLER, synthetic brush (size 10) will drip quite nicely even with just a small amount of paint...
So to save paint and frustration... if you haven't started this yet... DO NOT use a mop brush, and propably not a good sable either... a brush that holds a LOT of paint... doesn't 'drip' very well... use a nylon brush for much better results... splat wise....
So that's what I learned today
