I used D'Atramentis document black ink in a Lamy Safari Fountain pen to draw a quick study of the head of a Snowy Egret in the pond at the end of Faber Place tonight on our way to dinner.  Caran D'Ache colored pencils to add the color.  I like the effects some people get with colored pencils, not sure exactly how they do that, I just know it is way more time consuming than watercolor, so my lazy nature prefers watercolor.
