My Dad's Mom gave all her grand children Wallace Silver Sleigh Bells for Christmas starting in the mid 1980's, I continue the tradition, except I give my daughter and her girls Silver ornaments for their birthdays (2 in December 1 in October).
I have no idea how to paint silver and have it LOOK like silver... so I decided not to paint it at all... it works I think.
