I did not draw the hawk from life, but I did stand and watch him for a long time... big powerful bird riding the hot air currents... and looking like he was enjoying himself very much. Lots to do tonight... so I better get to it.

Hawks and turkey vultures (aka buzzards) are mesmerizing to watch, aren't they? It's as if they completely turn themselves over to the whims of the wind. Nice sketch, and the lily was such a pretty peachy color, too.
