Used Gouache to paint the seagull over the blue background... an interesting exercise as I rarely use gouache.

Love pecans, and finished off a can of roasted pecans tonight... so drew the last 3 before I ate them.

Been a busy week, managed to draw some in my journal, but neglected posting to my blog.  Turning over a new leaf tomorrow... maybe.

Falling behind on posting my pages every day... I don't suppose it really matters though.  Work is winding down, as I'm retiring on Oct 31, what will I do with myself all day?  I've worked since I was 14 years old, so this will be a big change for me.

How about some watercolor based monsters?  Draw Tip Tuesday suggested this, so I gave it a try.... Blew with a straw, but still didn't get the effects like Stefan.

SBS Homework an ink blob monster.  I used way too much ink, and blowing it, didn't move it at all, so I used a fan brush to move it.  Here's my monster.

The odd gray space top right, was a scanner glitch, the page is white there.  Just a page of pumpkin doodles, with my pentel pocket brush pen.

 HOCKEY!!! Pre-season games at the Ice Palace, actual hockey games coming soon.  Hockey players all stood for the National Anthem.. proud of them for that.

Did chores and grocery shopping on Saturday, took a little ride today.  The two little leaves are from my crepe myrtle and the other leaf is from our sugar maple tree.

The Wizard of Oz gave me nightmares as a child, they used to play it on TV and every year I'd watch it.  My mother didn't want me to watch because of the nightmares, but my Dad always, said no she's a big girl now she can watch it.  It took a long, long time... but finally I was able to watch it.  The witch taking Dorothy's dog Toto was the most upsetting part of the movie, and was what my nightmares were about.

Sketchbook Skool homework, coffee cups.  Finding 3 cups with different shapes was easy at our house, we have a varied collection of coffee cups and travel coffee cups (that's what the middle cup is).  This was a fun exercise.
