The trees actually lost all these branches today, AFTER the hurricane was well away from us. It has stopped raining, but I'm afraid to let the dogs out in the yard for fear the falling branches will hurt them.
A bit of ponding in the backyard, it used to do this even more when there was a swamp behind our house, MUSC built a classroom building and parking lot where the swamp used to be so the ponding in our backyard isn't as bad as it once was.
Dear Elaine - I am so thankful you managed to stay safe during Matthew. I wasn't aware that you would be in this hurricane's path. Take care and hope the clean up will not be too difficult. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie, we're about 5 miles inland from the coast, this house survived Hugo, so I felt safe staying here, besides packing up 4 dogs, a cat and 3 birds wasn't going to happen... so we stayed. I actually slept thru the hurricane last night, my husband stayed up but I'm not a night owl like him.
DeleteOh no! this is terrible! Glad to hear you, your 4 dogs, cat, 3 birds and husband are alright Elaine!
ReplyDeleteIt was terrible for the poor people in Haiti, we were very lucky here.
