I bought 'iHeartdogs' t-shirt that said, 'I don't care who dies in a movie as long as the dog lives' .  Ever since that purchase Facebook keeps trying to see me more doggy t-shirts,  this is the latest one they are hoping I'll buy.

Flute lesson tonight, teacher didn't fuss at me too much.  Didn't have time to do my homework for SBS,  and quickly did an imaginary bad-ass fish.  Time to feed dogs and go to bed.

Ron and I took a ride down to Beaufort SC today to have lunch at the Brick restaurant.  Lots of black eyed susans and ragweed growing on the sides of the road.  Bad day for racoons, saw 3 dead on the side of the road, not in the same place.  I can't remember the last time I saw one dead much less 3 in one day.

It's Sunday September 24 in Japan, and will soon be Sunday September 24 here in SC,  so celebrate another day.  Because the world did not end today, but continues to spin around the sun, and we are all here to enjoy the sun coming up another day.

Happy New Year to my Jewish friends.  This is the last page in this sketchbook,  I haven't liked how this mixed media paper handles watercolor.  I have liked the paper for ink and for colored pencil.  Next book will have watercolor paper.

The evening got away from me, finishing my SBS homework, flute practice, trip to UPS, knitting a few rounds on my sweater, next thing I know it's time to feed the dogs and go to bed.

Day 3 - the red line took a little trip through a maze.  I'm not much of a maze designer as there were several paths out of this one.

Using my rainbow pencil to doodle this page, got Felix Scheinberger's new book today, 'Dare to Sketch'  love his attitude and his unique style.  I've already read half the book.

"IMAGINING" klass in Sketchbook Skool homework,  following a red thread across a homemade concertina spread each day.  This is Day 1 (yesterday) and Day 2 (today)... racking my brain for what to do tomorrow.  I used a red Faber Castell Pitt pen for the red line, and colored pencil for the car and flags.

September is winding down, mornings are getting cooler, it's dark earlier in the evening and the sun comes up later too.  Fall is coming this Friday, I'm ready for it.

Ron and I took a little ride today, the weather was perfect.  Stopped at the Carolina Ale House for lunch, we really like their food. Dropped Ron's FLOSS at the Harley Shop for it's 5,000 check up.  Spent the rest of the day doing household chores, getting ready for the work week ahead.

Got a box from Dick Blick today, some watercolor paper, and a tube of Ultramarine Blue paint (I couldn't believe I ran out), and 2 new sketching pencils.  These pencils are supposed to wash out when water and/or paint is applied.  Based on my online classes with Liz Steele last year, I've been using either a grey or brown ochre watercolor pencil to do set up lines under watercolor.  Maybe I'm just used to them, but I like the watercolor pencils better than these for now.

Suffice it to say this was an experiment that didn't work out.  May not have worked due to this paper, or because I didn't do it right.  Lots of traffic, convoys of Duke Power and electric, tree service people, and flat bed trucks loaded with big Gener AC mobile generators about 10 per flat bed.  They were all headed to Florida,  job one getting the power back on.

This is a bit late, because we lost power again last night, then when it came back the internet and telephone didn't.  Popped off several times last night but it's back now... whoo hoo !

Power popped on and off a bit this morning, but settled down and stayed on most of the day today.  Everything back to normal here, as we didn't have any flooding or damage from the storm,  folks in other areas of Charleston are dealing with flooding and downed trees.  Prayers for the people in Florida and the Keys as they took the worst of this storm.  My friends and family in Atlanta are also having issues from Irma's visit there.

We lost power around noon today, and it was restored around 9pm tonight.  We were just talking about going to bed when the lights came on again.  Lots of rain and a little windy today, not sure what caused the power problems, but really glad they are over.

Did a little collage today, Hurricane Irma making landfall in Key West early this morning, moving slowly up the west coast of Florida today, weakened from a Cat 4 down to a Cat 2 but still a big, big storm.  Prayers for everyone in the path of this storm.

Great weather today, met up with friends for breakfast in Summerville, then a nice ride down Hwy 165 to Hwy 17 and then to see the Angel Oak.  Some French tourists were there and very interested in our motorcycles and took pictures of us and the bikes.  Mine is the orange one to the far right.

Tried some new Frisket I got this week, didn't work, so I removed it (well most of it) and slapped some paint on the page, and used my white pen for a little quote.  Calm before the storm, great weather today, and tomorrow but Irma is on her way... stay safe everyone.

Just some doodles today with my rainbow colored pencil.  This multi-colored pencil is so fun, you never know what color is going to be laid down.

Back to work today,  short but very busy week ahead at work.  The plague of Love bugs continues, what we need around here is some serious frogs.

We took our orange bikes to Myrtle Beach today, stopped at Fuddruckers for lunch, then headed back to Charleston.  The weather was great, only annoyance today was the love bugs everywhere.. Cleaned my windsheild and helmet face shield 4 or 5 times today.  Hard to ride with bug guts right between your eyes.

Ron and I were lucky today, while rain was predicted at 60% today, and it did rain at our house and all around us.  It didn't rain where we were riding up highway 52 today after a stop at Hooters for lunch.  The new crop of Navy Chiefs was having a car was there today, Ron thought about getting his bike washed, but decided against it after watching them for a bit LOL.  Ragweed season is here and the sneezing begins in ernest, sigh.

A day late posting this, because I was doing a 7 plus hour virus scan of all the files on my computer.  I have over 2 million files on my computer... yikes that's a lot of files, maybe I should get rid of some of them.
