With no weather to speak of, sunrise today wasn't worth getting up early.... but at lunch today I took my first photo with my new camera. This fellow was fishing at the park near my office.

Had to share this one....

One semester when my brother, Peter, attended

the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, an

art-student friend of his asked if he could paint

Peter's portrait for a class assignment.

Peter agreed, and the art student painted and

submitted the portrait, only to receive a C minus.

The art student approached the professor to ask

why the grade was so poor.

The teacher told him that the proportions in the

painting were incorrect. "The head is too big,"

the professor explained. "The shoulders are too

wide, and the feet are enormous."

The next day, the art student brought Peter to see

the professor. He took one look at my brother.

"Okay, A minus," he said.

Went back to look again... and they'd reduced the price by another $50... so I now have a NIKON D-60 camera, haven't taken a picture yet, still waiting for the battery to charge, and it'll be dark soon... maybe there will be a nice sunrise tomorrow that I can catch.

Teddy bear toss at the hockey game tonight, we have a couple of stuffed Mooses to toss out on the ice... they are so cute and soft. Been looking at cameras today, thinking about getting a Nikon D60 anyone have one of those? Do you like it? Is it worth $600 and do you think they'll go lower before Christmas?

9x12 140lbs paper this lesson was 2 methods of creating mountain fog... from Bob Davies video lesson... I don't think I've got this one at all.

Started a new handbook journal today... I love them, they have paper that'll take a wash, 128 pages and are reasonably priced. My last moleskine was a beautiful book, but the layout didn't suit me at all.
