My motorcycle came home from the shop today, had it's 10,000 mile check up and is ready to roll this weekend. We're going to Savannah on Saturday. Tomorrow I'm headed to Columbia, for some face time at the office.

The rain the last few days has really perked up my hibiscus, I have two blooms at once now. Bright yellow with deep red centers, didn't quite get the center dark enough, but it was fun painting it today.

I've not had much luck voting for my state senator, the candidate I voted for (before I left on my trip), did not make it to the runoff. The candidate I voted for in the run-off didn't win either... sigh.

I've been home almost a week, but today was the first day I felt like I was getting back into my normal routine. Still doing loads of laundry to catch up but the backlog is getting smaller and things are getting put away again. My flute has been getting serviced while I was away, it should be back on Wednesday, I'm looking forward to playing it again.

All caught up on posting and scanning from this journal. I'm still working on the travel journal I kept during the trip. It may take a while to finish that one up.

Trip to Columbia in the car was interesting, first time I'd driven a car in almost 3 weeks. Luckily I still remember how :-)

Ron met me in Knoxville and joined the group riding home on the 21st. It was so good to see my husband, I do believe this is the longest we've been apart in the 20 years I've know him. We lost over 11 riders in Murfreesboro Tn, and a few more dropped out in Knoxville and along the way to Charleston, folks from Florida splitting off at either 85 or 95 to head south. In the end only 7 riders made the complete round trip, I was proud to be one of them.
My sisters... I love them all more than I thought was possible.

Tennessee welcomed us with open arms, nothing like Southern hospitality to warm a Southern girl's heart. The ladies from Bumpus Harley Davidson in Murfreesboro Tn treated us to a delightful ride thru the rolling hills of western Tennessee. Every mile now bringing us closer to home. Ron will be meeting me in Knoxville tomorrow to ride the final leg to Charleston with me.

Out of the mountains of Colorado and into the FLAT, STRAIGHT, HOT roads of Kansas. We stopped in Hays, Kansas... the hottest place on the entire trip.
This if Marianne Coy, my guardian angel. She was the tail gunner who kept me safe for 5,000 plus miles. I could not have made this trip without her help and support. She is an amazing person, that I'll never forget.
Colorado River view and the rock mountains and clear cloudless sky.

These are the last photos I took, as my phone took a swim and lay dead in a bag of rice for 3 days. It finally did come back to life and is still working for now anyway.
Snow on the Rockies, we are headed for Denver now.
A scenic look at the Colorado River and some of the rocky hills in Western Colorado.
A stop for gas in New Castle Co, some green on the hills finally.
