Varigated wash - tree shaped...
Tried some tree shapes, and blocking out a roof using them... just fooling around with my paint.

I've been on Weight Watches since March of this year, hit a wall lately and finding my will power tested... I want FRENCH FRIES and white bread, and Cheetos... and all sorts of food I shouldn't eat. So I drew my hand... my nails are not that odd looking and I'm not orange in color and... I have a thumb too, just ran out of paper before I could draw it... more hand drawings needed I can see :-)

Got my very first pedicure today... it was WONDERFUL, sat in a massaging chair while the gentleman gave me a pedicure... my feet don't look like they belong to me... I will be doing this again. Dinner and fireworks with Deb, Jerry, Jerry's Mom Betty, Bob and Pat... oh and a golf cart parade... I wish I'd brought my camera.

Slept late this morning, then spent the morning at the range shooting. Ron finally tried my Springfield and liked it so much he bought himself one just like mine. Went to Lowes and got a couple of Crepe Myrtles but it was too hot to plant them today, we'll do that tomorrow morning. Off to do some painting on big paper LOL

Color chart...
Finished my color chart tonight... I don't think this is really going to be that useful since so many of the colors aren't transparent, and so don't glaze or mix well, dry on the paper... the task of actually mixing them on the palette and then doing this chart... well I'm just not that anal about it... maybe when I retire and don't have anything else to do LOL

Color Saturation chart
Made it thru all my yellows and reds, interesting exercise. I was really surprised that all the Cadmium colors are so opaque. This is being done with my tube colors, mostly American Journey (from CheapJoes) labled AJ, and Holbein (from Kalish) labled Hb, and WIndsor Newton labeld WN.
The black bar was made with India Ink the evening before.

Not called for in the workshop, but since I was doing the saturation chart, I decided to do a color chart too. Picture quality not that good, I'll have to take a picture in the sunlight when the chart is completed.

I've been watching either an alligator or a turtle... but I'm pretty sure it's a small, less than 2 foot long gator baby. Had a baby Mourning Dove visit my feeder this morning... never seen one before it was a cutie. Off to play with some paint again... I'm working the exercises in my Kate Johnson CD... boy I wish I could take a class from her in person... I love her books and this CD is great too.
