Tried a couple of things, learned a few too... like cover your sky before you 'spatter' the sand :-) and my horizon was so empty and dull I just had to add a silly little sailboat right ready to fall off the edge. Sometimes I think it might be more fun to draw cartoons has anybody noticed my 2008 faces? I wonder?
Finding the blank page winning the battle today so I just did this weeks challenge and drew a basket.
Just fooling around with my new brush. Had to go grocery shopping tonight and vote in our state primary election, so not much time to draw. Two of my candidates are going to win... two are not... can't win um all I suppose.
Sign of getting old I suppose, remembering when gas was 25 cents a gallon and there were 'service' stations, that actually did service, maybe sold coffee or a glass bottle of Coca-cola for a nickel and cigarettes were 25 cents a pack and you could smoke them anywhere... I wonder what gas will cost when my grand-daughter Ashton starts driving?
Spent half the day looking at the GE logo. Now I have to wait all weekend to find out the results... ARGH !
EDM # 174, draw a bridge, I drew the foot bridge in Azalea Park in Summerville SC. Started a new handbook Journal today, this one is Portrait format and almost double the size of my little square journal I just finished. It's going to be fun filling the pages. Got my Kate Johnson books yesterday, they both look great... now I've gotta read um.
Today is the one year anniversary of the removal of my right kidney and the clear cell carcinoma tumor inside. Every Day Really does Matter, I've had a great year this year, and I'm looking forward to next year. This poem is anonymous, so I took the liberty of adding a few verses of my own to it.
My 2 brushes I ordered from Kalish came today... I can already tell the difference. Quality absolutely first quality... now I'm scared to use them LOL and I now want to buy a couple of round ones too.
I'm going to bite the bullet tomorrow will be the last entry in this journal (my first) and a special anniversary for me... fitting day to end this journal and start a new one.
Plein Aire class was originally supposed to meet here, instructor was concerned it might rain so class moved indoors did a quick try at the fountain in this pond, shooting water like that beyond my ability. Class will meet again Wednesday then that's the end. Kind of sad since we found out the instructor will not be teaching any more classes as she's going back to school herself.
Well I thought I knew how to do a color chart... obviously I don't... guess I'll read up on it a little more and try again later... as with everything else, this looks easier than it really is.
Full day today, with little time to draw... I need more hours in the day. Wish I'd thought of some grand finish to the every day in May challenge... just a can full of brushes that need washing.
Busy day at work, did the draw something from memory EDM challenge, I do believe I see these things in my sleep LOL
