I had a VERY stressful day today... I don't like to spew discontent on my blog, or in my journal... drawing this monkey brought a well needed smile to my face.

I received this award from AngelTreats.
Sorry is has taken me so long to get around to posting it... thank you Angel!
The rules of this award are to:
* List 7 things you love
* Put a link to the artist who tagged you for this honor
* Pass the honor on to seven artists you feel should receive the recognition, and let them know they have received this award
So here are seven things I love, not counting family, friends and menagerie:
1. My little red scooter, I feel young and free when I’m riding it.
2. Our Yellow Jeep, we’ve had so much fun and met so many great people all because of that little yellow Jeep.
3. Colors, in my paints, flowers, the sea… I love color.
4. Red meat, nothing is quite so good as a nice thick steak hot off the grill.
5. Water, swimming, sailing, mud puddles, if water is involved I love it.
6. Spring… great weather, everything is in bloom, what’s not to love about Spring.
7. My Mac… I am so happy I switched to a MAC… no more windows problems for me.
I'd like to pass this award on to the following bloggers. Please visit them, because they are all lovely and their blogs are as awesome as they are.

My Friend Angie suggested I continue the "Wizard of Oz" theme... and I just may do it. As a child the movie gave me nightmares... and yet I wanted to watch it every year on TV, my Mom didn't want me to because of the bad dreams... my Dad would say... this year she won't be scared... and finally I wasn't... it is still one of my all time favorite movies.

This guy is having a bad hair day.... mostly because while I was painting him I was also cooking chicken on the grill, kept having to jump up to put out fires... I'm hoping to do a Tiger tomorrow and a Bear on Friday... from the Wizard of Oz... Lions, and Tigers and Bears... oh my.

I had no idea the club was planning this honor for me... Ron and I were just going to see old friends and enjoy a free lunch... I was completely blown away by this... it is a great club and has grown by leaps and bounds (pun intended). and has a bright future ahead I'm sure.

Petunias... the flowers I didn't know the name of are Petunias. Tried to paint them... couldn't get the veins right... I do love them.
I think I did better at the match today... but I won't find out until the scores are published next week.

Felt like some color was in order on this rainy day. Got a package from Haiying Yang with my new Chinese Brush Painting DVD and brushes... I'm really interested in learning this technique. Just another opportunity to indulge in the purchase of art supplies.

Here's the painting... it was a struggle, the wind was blowing so hard the paint would dry on the brush.. and I could not keep my paints on the palette wet either... I obviously need those water lessons :-)

This was during the last course of fire, the RO said something to me, as I've taken my finger out of the trigger and turned back to look at him... but what a face... OMG this just conjures up all sorts of funny captions don't you think?
These are what my mom calls Volunteers, left over from last years planter box, these came up in the flower bed below where the box sat last summer... and frankly look better than the ones last year already.
